    Replacing T-20 o-rings

I have owned a bunch of ATVs over the years and have only opened up a T-20 just to look inside before sending it off to Jerry Atkinson to have it rebuilt. My Hustler trans is leaking and it needs o-rings. I am a competant wrench but am asking those who get into T-20s often, whats it take just to replace the o-rings. I have the manuals but no needed parts list.

It to me says alot about the T-20, to have cleaned out too many ATVs suffering from mechanical neglect and have at the least of your concerns the transmission.

Hi Bushman, you'll have to take out the drums. Once you did that you'll have room to get the bands and plungers pushed through the bores on the T-20 case. Once that is done, just put on your O-rings and make sure to install new T-20 case gaskets and you're set. Good luck with it.
