I was out making my rounds at work today and ran across a hustler sitting out in a yard, you could tell it had been there for a while so I stopped and asked if it was for sale, the guy said it had been sittting up for about a month since his grandkids had ran it out of gas. What I'm asking is what would be a fair price on it? All the plastic is in excellent shape, the chains and sprockets look to be in good shape, the engine is a twin briggs 16 hp. The transmission shifted easily. The tires look to be original and are in pretty bad shape but were still holding air. The frame rails and bearings looked to be in good shape. He put some gas in it while I was there but it wouldn't crank (battery was weak) He said he would charge the battery and get it cranked in the next couple of days, so I am going back to check it out after he gets it running. He said it was running fine and everything worked the last time he ran it. He quoted a price and I was just wanting to see if it was in line. I didn't dig around inside it too much since I didn't want to seem too eager.
