Hey Mudd-Ox dealers, how are sales going so far? How many units have you sold since you became a Mudd-Ox dealer? What are the more popular options? What are the most troublesome parts of the vehicle, the parts that need the most attention from new owners after initial use? Thanks.
Considering the poor economy we have been pleasantly surprised how well the Mudd-Ox has sold here in Alaska. there has been significant interest and sales of the new diesel option. Every machine here in Alaska has been heavily optioned with windshield, tops, bearing extensions on all axles, many upgraded winches. the new aluminum half cabs are on almost all of the diesels so far. At least half the machines have 20" rubber tracks on them. Most owners have opted to go wtih the 105am alternator upgrade on the 09 and 08 machines which includes a 2X larger engine bay exhaust fan, this is standard on the 2010 models. the actual problems have not been serious for the most part. there have been a few snap ring failures on the clutched machines ( a 50 cent part) that apparently Comet clutch company installed wrong at their factory. Tighten the chains after about the first 5 hours and then every 30 hurs, normal oil changes etc for maintainance. considering the extreme use they get here the issues have been minor.
