Green and red spring difference

    Green and red spring difference

    Well I'm changing over to a red spring because I read so many good things about it. Now that I got the green one out and next to the red there's not a whole lot of difference. I see the wire diameter on the red is.005 thicker. This hardly seems like enough to matter. Any advise on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
    What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

    Could it be a different material?

    Tempered differently?

    Does it have same amount of coils?

    Same inner and outter diam?

    Try it, if it makes a difference that you can tell, report back!

    It made a difference on a max 1V that had years back. More power and less belt slipping if I remember.

    It has the same amount of coils same length same diameter. Just slightly thicker wire.
    What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

    i went back to the green spring because it took to long to wind up the speed and it still performs at slow speeds

    I'm looking for a little more low end for mudding.
    What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

    The red spring should be an inch or so taller than the green. Here it is compared to a yellow. The Green should be right in the middle.

    The t20 is a CVT Transmission, the red spring keeps the machine in the lower gears longer than the green spring, the red spring is more for mudding and power control and may limit the top speed a bit. I do think the red spring is one of the best mods out there and all my T20 equipped machines have it.

    Well it's going in and if I like it I'll put one in my max with tracks that one could for sure use a little more low end. Especially with two people in it. Thanks for all the information. This site has been a wealth of information.
