3/4 black Iron water pipe from a big box home improvement store would be real close. It is heavy wall for that application, but easy to bend if needed. you could also order stainless tubing from http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-st...ubing/=12grfql or mild steel http://www.mcmaster.com/#steel-hollow-rods/=12grf4y

Electrical conduit from a biig box store would be lighter, cheaper and will not rust.
Forget light and cheap Dave. Go with the 3/4" BIP if you can't find true 7/8" tubing (maybe up in Kankakee?). The foot brake system in Attex machines doesn't have a hell of a lot of notoriety for its true stopping ability so 90% of your brakes are going to be in the T20. You don't want a lateral turning to mush in a hard turn.
I have a set of attex sticks rods and the bottom mounts from thunder chief. Pay freight and they are yours.
