  • FOR SALE Max II Gila Monster Springer

For those who have always wanted a first class Springer, This is it!
This is the ultimate Max II Springer on the Planet.
The frame was custom made and the front and rear axles we're moved out 1"
to extend the wheel base from 50" to 52" so I could run 25" rawhides without them
touching. The bottom tub and upper body are new.
I also got rid of the jackshaft.
The Springer kit is also custom with VW rabbit CV joints inner and outer.
It has 7" of wheel travel, with custom alum. wheels.
The springer kit alone is worth $7500.
The Motor is built from a Big Block 35hp Briggs.
The motor was built by Al Hodge @ Performance V-twins.
It has twin 30mm Mikuni carbs on it and puts out 55+hp @ 6000rpms.
The motor has an 1190 drive clutch and a team driven.
The motor and clutches alone are valued @ $5500.
I got 54mph on my GPS on the flats at the Glamis dunes.
That's at the end of the dune video posted with this thread.
It has the best of everything in it. There are no cheap $18.00 Buffalo Bearings
    in this car.
It has a factory windshield ,and custom made top.
Also has custom body band and 6 point roll cage and mud flaps.
The hour meter is accurate with 55hrs.
This Max is fast and is a great trail machine.
I couldn't even begin to count the hrs it took to build it.
    The price is $19.500.00.
    I will not ship it.
If interested it must be picked up in person and paid for in cash.

I'm sure everyone is wondering why I'm selling it.
Remember I have 5 of these, I can only ride one at a time.
And Godzilla is the car of choice. Anyone who has gotten the chance to drive
Godzilla knows what I'm talking about.
Max IV's make the best Springers, ask WFO.

Godzilla is still a favorite build... not sure if the RIM will ever get to that level. Being able to fit on the trails for the hare scramble might be necessary too.

            You still can.
I have all the parts to build one more Springer and it has to be a Max IV
because the side plates are already cut out and formed.
Cost for this kit is $4800. At this price you will have to deburr all the welds and
and sand blast it and paint it yourself. You will also have to build your own front and rear braces. This kit will have everything, wheel hubs, inner and outer CV joints,
limiter straps (pencil sticks)LOL. heim joints, outer bearings, shocks.
When you get it installed I will make you the outer axles after you get me the measurements I need.
The longer wheelbase of the Max IV makes the best Springer.
I started this kit to put on the Red Max IV I have, but decided I didn't need a 6th Springer.

Here's a video of the MaxIV Springer kit in action.

And you can still take a Springer in the water in this next video.
There not that great in the water but there faster than a Mudd-Ox

I forgot to show this video of the custom frame.
There were a few changes after this video was taken.

Still got a smoking deal on a MaxIV springer kit .
You'll never bend an axle again.
Or wear out chains and sprockets.
All I've done on Godzilla for 4yrs is oil the chains once in a while.

They're an awesome ride. The best money I've spent on 6 wheelers.

He owns Apache Gear? Never knew that, well these machines must be high quality. Had his company make me a custom 1st gear for my coat over 4 years ago, looked as good as jewelry when it was done and despite all the abuse I've put on my machine it's still holding up great!
