If the Spike portion is too long and sticks beyond the grousser surface could just cut them to length with a 45 degree angle. What are you thinking as for number between groussers? The good part is you have so many. The bad is if they wiggle and roll too much they may cause premature wear of the belt portion of the track. I have the Pro series track also and would be interested in some sort of extra bite for hills or side sloping. I would consider cutting them just short of the surface of the grousser maybe a 1/4 inch shorter. Good on pavement and still get some bite in dirt as the grousser sinks into the surface. A plate of some sort that the spikes are bolted through together with the belt should help reduce the wiggle and roll, then again might not be necessary. Just thinking.
