    May have been a bad vacuum leak at the carb.

    I would bet on the plugs. If i have an engine that starts to backfire for no apparent reason, I will put a new plug or plugs and try that.

    Look at your plugs. Recently had a broken porcelain on one, unnoticeable until you stood the plug right side up, while checking gap it looked fine.


    My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.
