JBF, who you going to race? Is anyone else bringing an old time springer?

You still bringing the 340 Scrambler?

Thanks Techfx. Very cool! Saw the vid before, didn't look that close at the engine. I like the engine in back of the driver better. I think from a handling point of view putting the weight more to the middle of the machine would be better. Then again these springers have less suspension then a 1961 Corvair. Any reason for the chevron tires in the front?

The reason for the tires... Dad only had 4 knobbies and threw those on to do the test run. That machine will not float.

Not very good news. The new crank seals came in for the Sachs 440on Friday and tonight I pulled the old seals. The Bearings are loaded up wit crusty varnish. The only option is to pull the crank and have it rebuilt. That ain't gonna happen between now and Ashtabula. I always can put in the G50B and "put put" around the track.

Sorry to hear about the crank JBF. I hope we get to see it even if it's just "putting" around.

Soft? that's what the springs are for!

JerseyBigfoot - try to borrow a nice big liquid cooled engine or something. I want to see all the springers flying. Although a good stock g50b may be enough to win when all the "hot" motors are overheating.
