    I'd have to agree that MC is another great place to get chain, as is Grainger.

    I know people that go the extra mile and buy hoist chain. After the initial stretch, it's pretty much done stretching for good, and lasts a long, long time. It's easier on the sprockets and makes them last longer as well because the chain stays close to original size and the lobe isn't sliding as much down the teeth of the sprocket. I've just always been too cheap to put out the extra bucks for the hoist chain.

    Here's a good place to look for anything like chain, sprockets, pulleys, hydraulics, etc; I've done business with them and they always were helpful & responsive. WWW.surpluscenter.com.
