Msafi65, I don’t have a lathe, can I just manually sand them? Or rig em up with something like a hammer drill to spin it? Also where can I find posi track additive

Could it have just been a band adjustment issue from your description?

If the bands are too tight, then there's a position when both bands will lock, and brake the motor - a band situation. It would probably cause the clutch to do weird stuff.

The bands should be adjusted so that one releases before the other one grips, or to use a different term, break before make.

Easy enough to check, just turn the clutch input while moving the sticks and while in neutral. If it sticks at all while moving one stick slowly, then it would be a band adjustment problem.

Though I should qualify, I'm pretty new to this, but it seems like it would be possible to set it so that both bands would engage at the same time, and this would only occur midway through a stick transition.

    David.
