I would add the material to the bottom or top side of the flange. I added 3/4" square tube to the top and bottom full length of my Hustler channels. You have to square up the channel flanges as they are not 90 deg to the side.
Well I was able to straighten it out using a 4lb sledge hammer and a steel rod. I also used lock pliers to grip the lips and bend them back into shape. I think it is going to be fine now, at least it looks alot better Thanks for the help, now please read the other post about the hustler bearings with the anti-rotation pin ;0
