Probably a little larger rear would have helped rodp, but I wonder if it might have been the sand piling under the track section,no matter the things I have seen those fellas put them thru I have no question of the durability of this style track system at this point what I have seen goes well beyond anything I will ever put them thru.NCT

Really loving all the options we have for tracks now.
Would love to see these tracks in deep snow and a floodwater slush scenario. We have had to deal with this since early January on our lakes.
Just wondering if running 2 kinds of tires with tracks would make any sense. Say ones more likely to slip being a larger diameter for the center 4.
The 2 ply rating on runamuks as opposed to 4 ply on a K300 rigidity difference .
Looking at the video qusqus posted I would say Marcel has Carlyle Stykers on his Conquest. They are listed as a belted tire no ply rating given on the website. Quite heavy at 21 lbs each as well I would guess from looking at the other types of tires they offer they have a Turf tire carcass.
The Dominator K300 22x111-8are 16 lbs each 4 ply. Same as the Carlyle turf tamers 22.5x10-8

As for tires to run in the channel track I had three chooses I picked
One was the Duro Brim rider 22x11x8
Two was the dominator k300 22x11x8
third was the Carlyle turf tamer 22.5x11x8 But you can not get it in a 11 inch wide tire. It would of made a good mid tire. And the duro brim rider tire, The suppliers said it would be 60 to 90 days before they had them in.So it was the dominator I went for. All the tires have the knobs go straight across the tire for good contact with the Cleats. The v shaped tread on the AT101 carlisle only touches the cleats in a very small area If you look at the photos. There will be no slippage or very little with the dominator k300 Or that type of tread on your tire.

I wonder why every body put smaller tire with tracks. Is it because of loss of power with bigger tire. I have 25X12X9 on my avenger. Would it be better for me to put smaller tire with those chanel tracks or I can keep my bigger tire and save.Jack

With the older conquest We have very little room between tire and tub so we have no other way to go. With the newer argos you can play a lot more with the tire size. I am not to sure what tire is stock on the avenger, but I think on the avenger you will be fine if you have the room between the tire and tub with the 25 inch tires.

Originally posted by Buzz View PostI agree with Old Tucker, the main concern is tub clearance above the tire. You'll have plenty of power with that gear-reduction design and will also be able to maintain the increased floatation/bouyancy and ground clearance of a 25" tire. It's a win/win.

From what ive seen and experienced there are some avengers that the tub will rub with just tires on, so be careful with 25" tires that being said there is now a kit available to keep the tub from sagging.
The part to the rear fender support kit is #806-256

now if you prefer to run a smaller tire in addition to that elevated belt track, you'll have even more gear-reduction. I personally think the 25's seem to do great. Instead of a "high" and "low" range, running this track essentially changes your machine so that you can run a "mid" and a "granny" gear. I think most of us probably tend to use the "low" (granny) gear for most driving. If you're on a dirt road, you don't really need an argo.

My "Bush Fix" to get the guy back out. The plastic was from a Dog Treat Container, lol.

ouch...what happened there? Was it the extra weight in the back and/or a piece of debris carried up....or just the tires rubbing? I wish all the machines would have a couple more inches of clearance above the tires....I dont know why they don't just build them that way from the factory?

the jig for the avengers isnt what it used to be, and of course now running the really large 25" tires doesnt help, essentially a design flaw the new rear fender support kit is designed to remedy it, but personlly im opting for the 24" frontier tires to set some new tracks on to get additional extra clearance!
thank Rd for the pics ive seen quite a few machines that look that way, people if your tracks or tires are rubbing at all, deal with it immediately or you will be replacing your lower tub.

I packed some rags into the holes, then sealed it with Silicone, then formes the patches with heat, then Glued the patches on with Gorilla Glue, and Riveted it for good measure.
You can't tell from the pics, but the machine is jacked up and supported under the back rack, sitting in the hot sun like this for a couple days allowed the body to straighten itself out...... mostly.
My observations indicate that the new Argo Tubs are possibly thinner, or softer Plastic. They seem to deform under pressure easier than the older Tubs.
A friend had an Argo Rep up in the area, Shortly after this happened. He was very interested in the Bracing we designed to fix the problem. Very similar to the Factory Fender Support Kit, now available...... Coincidence, I'm sure, lol.
