turning 440 engine by hand?

    Unhappy turning 440 engine by hand?

    on a max ll should it be possible to turn the engine over buy hand via the drive belt clutch pully on crankshaft ?
    or is there too much compession or mechanical drag.
    want to check for seized engine with the spark plugs still in against the compression.kawasaki twin t440
    want the make sure before buying.

    You should be able to turn it over by hand. Even if the compression is great, it will turn slowly. If it doesn't turn and has electric start, make sure starter gear isn't locked into the ring gear on the flywheel- that will lock it up.
