Double click on the "Reply to Thread" button to automatically open the advanced editor.
On the old site when you would click on the "Reply to Thread" button it would automatically take you to the advanced editor. On the current site if you click on the "Reply to Thread" button it opens the quick reply editor where you can then choose to "Go Advanced". If you would rather access the advanced editor directly like the old site just double click the "Reply to Thread" button.
