the diesel engine weighs 120 lbs more then the Kohler gas engine. It generates about 105 ft/lbs of torque. All of the current production models are now direct drive so the weight of the clutches is eliminated. As the engines are now length wise there is also more room around engines for access for maintenance. I will take a video tour of the "Alaska Edition" diesel and post it here in the next few days. the diesel at idle on tracks on asphalt can counter rotate with out any addition throttle- it has lots of torque!
