    I dont believe Hustler ever made shifters using cables. I think that it was always metal linkage. I can snap some pictures of my shifter set up if you want to make your own. I might be able to locate a one sometime off of a parts Hustler possibly.

    Here is my Hustler Bigfoot frame which is probably very similar to yours. On the left hand side there is a long rod going to the shifter that is located under the drivers side front seat. The rod going across has those metal pieces welded on it which then shifts both sides of the T-20. Could I see some closer pics of your set up? I hope this helps.
