    Are you going to swim this machine?? Just wonder if you thought about that with the entire axel being cut for the keyway....

    I don't think that would pose a major problem. just put a squirt of silicone in to fill the void of the keyway where it goes through the bearing

    good point, I had not thought about that, but I like the silicone idea. was looking at the current axle and had another idea too. could get some 2 inch quarter wall tube and weld all 3 center sprockets onto it and then just drill a couple 1/4 inch holes through the axles and stick some grade 8 bolts in there. that would be 2 axles that don't need keyways then. . Will have to wait till I have everything out to decide for sure which way i want to go about it...
