I'm always looking for a place to ride too. I know that on Long Island, you can get a $400 ticket for driving an uninsured vehicle (includes ATVs) and it's points on your license (insurance goes up). It used to be that they could impound your ATVs but now they can confiscate them and sell them at auction.
I only ride on my folks' property upstate or at places like Ledges and Copper Ridge.
