you can just warm them up with a heat gun, or in boiling water. that will soften them long enough to get your bulbs in, then they will harden up again once they cool down

Hi Scot,
drop them in some hot water for a few moments, and they'll soften right up like butter. Hot tap water will work, but heating it up further for a few minutes on the stove top or in a microwave helps, too.

EDIT:: dammit, he always beats me....
Where did you find HIDs that fit the S.C.? Do you have a MFG and Part #?
Attex 295 Wild Wolf: My Runner
Attex 252? Colt? Racer 80%: My Racer to be..... SOMEDAY
Attex Super Chief - Sold.
I'm curious about how bright they are....let us know.
I've been looking at L.E.D. replacements, $60 for the pair, but no telling how bright they are untill they are bought and tried.
JP is running LED headlights on his 980. I don't know if he's passed verdict on them or not. How do they light up the night, Jeff?

Installed LED head lamps on the GT2. The lenses/buckets are plastic for a cycle, the bulbs are 64 led-s each H4's. I reversed the rubbers to fit the buckets. They stick out from the body slightly but work.
Here is the kit..

I highly recommend them! I'm using amber LEDs on my 980 on the tub and 35W clear halogen bulbs on the front pushbar/bumper. The amber LEDs are super bright, and don't draw very much power. I can't say for sure about the white ones, but I'd imagine that they would work very well too......I'm actually planning on doing this on my Super Swamp Fox.
And if you're thinking about going with HIDs, this is a great place to deal with. A lot of folks that I know in the sport bike community go through them.
