Wow that is a nice Moose. The Mudd-Ox sure made getting it out of the water easy. Nice Job.

Nice pull, but what I want to know is what kind of "Fly Swatter" you hit the moose with that allowed him to get into the water in the first place

Nice Moose too. Would 57" be a good guess?

Good guess. It was 52". 300 Mag through the lung. He just happened to be close to the water.

300 WM? that's my favorite, have a couple of those right now. I load them up with 190gr Hornady SPBT's. Excellent combination.
I had a 300 Rem SAUM, a 300 WSM, and a 300 RUM, but I got rid of those. Still have my 30-378 WBY though, that's also a favorite of mine.

My Moose this yr had 2 tines on 1 side, one tine busted off, and the other side was a 7 point. Kinda messed up, but good to get him out of the Gene Pool.

    Muddox 8x8 = 40,000$ + taxes & such

    Argo 6x6 HD or 8x8 HD 19,000-28,000$ + taxes & such.

    Prices in Canadian funds.

You just priced a fully equiped diesel mudd-ox. When doing that you should compare it to a $60,000 fully equiped Argo Centaur. A base gasser is in the lower $20's and actually comes with a winch.
