Several members on the forums run the adair tracks, and like them in wet soupy mud. Don't know about our gluembo though, nothing seems to shed that stuff.

Adair track system with 22" tires on 8" rims- they bolt right on, you can buy the tracks, tires and rims as a package, the adair tracks swim (not fast on the MaxIV), there will be less wear and tear on your machine then 26" tires. You'll never get stuck again with a set of these tracks and you will be able to go places you only dreamed about with tires.

They work great in Gumbo mud because they clean out and the 22" tires will reduce your overall gear ratio giving that machine more ummmppphh in the mud!
Your ground clearance will be almost the same as a set of 26" terras.

Best money you could spend on a MaxIV

You can watch some of the videos posted by Mudbug of a MaxII at River Run with a set of these tracks, that machine was simply unstoppable!!!

I've seen pictures of two Argo 8x8's that were taken in a rice feild that had gumbo mud in it. One Argo 8x8 had the Argo rubber tracks and the other 8x8 Argo had the Adair tracks on it. The 8x8 with the closed design rubber tracks finally came to a halt because the gumbo mud kept building up between the track and the tub. The only way that the rubber tracked Argo was able to move again was by scraping off the gumbo mud that had packed in between the rubber track and the tub. In contrast though ,the 8x8 with the Adair tracks was able to keep on going and had no problem driving through the gumbo mud. The advantage of the open track design is that it allows the Adair tracks to shed mud and keep moving forward. For gumbo mud there is no other choice in a track.
