recommended winch relay location

    recommended winch relay location

    Hi new to the forum, I just picked up a 2003 max ll it came with a winch plate but the owner never installed a winch, I just purchased one is there a recommended location for the relay up front or back under the seat thank you.

    The best place to put it is where you can get to it easily!!! If you hide it you will have problems with it. If you put it in the open, it will be trouble free.

    thanks but I didn't think there was a location up around the tank.

    Mine is located on the engine stand on a max iv came that way from the factory warn 2500 pound winch.

    Thanks I will be mounting it Saturday and finish the wiring

    Mine is mounted on the side wall to the right of the fuel tank with Velcro. I have a Warn and the cables are too short to put it in the rear.
