I have been working for a while on a frame off restoration on a 300. I got the frame all painted, new bearings, etc., and I left the old cast iron Briggs in place. All was going well up to the point where I finished the bodywork (a long time ago I made my living slopping Bondo) and I walked into the Auto Paint Supply Store. I asked the clerk what are the newer products on the market. This tub had a fair share of repairs I made with Black Goo, so I decided to go with something other than yellow. Well, I went with a Forest Green Flip/Flop Metallic, a Clear Coat over that, and a top finish with Holographic Green Flake, and more clear. Not all is new product, just new to me. POR15 was used on the inside of the tub under the frame (only because I had extra paint). I am about half way through the paint job, and it is starting to look decent. I have a few hours of tinkering left on the drive train, and I hope to get this on the road by the summer. I will post a couple pics when the paint is done.
