20HP Kawasaki jet size??

1998 argo with 20hp kawi does any one think that it would be in my best intrest to run a smaller jet i normally go to areas that are 1100m to 2000m above sea level kawi said to run the 112 at sea level to 1000 m and the 110 from 1000 to 2000 m

would the motor run better is my main question and if any body else has done this
