    oil change argo bigfoot

I just changed the oil on my bigfoot and like everyone says not easy. Used a ziplock bag and still a pain. Has anyone given any thought to adding a hose/ tube extension say a few inches or so to get the drainplug out to a more convenient place? say a 90 and then a short straight pipe and a cap to just under the drive belt. I'm gonna look into the part and see if feasable. anyone foresee any problems?

yeah I've thought of those but I like to drain the hot oil from the bottom. I found extension tubes that will make changing oil easier and drain from the bottom.

    thanks for the help though.

Sounds like a good solution, what pieces and fittings did you use? I bought a used Avenger and will be changing over to winter weight oil next month so I might do some plumbing well down there.

Northern tool has different 14" rubber extension tubes meant for this purpose. they are called drainzit and they come in 14" or 12". they also come with a clip to keep it out of the way. I haven't gotten it yet as I just changed my oil but will install at the next oil change. should lay right over the frame into the front drive chain area and allow easy access with a ziplock bag. will just need to account for the extra volume of hose when refilling.
