I put a 16hp duramax in my stepsons argo and so far it keeps the battery charged is about all i can tell you but i haven't run the lights. The wiring diagrahm is a joke,It shows different wire colors than the motor that i have. The little motor pulls way better than i thought it would but it is very cold natured. After i put the duramax in and run it for about 30 minutes the gas was boiling in the gas tank so i had to relocate the gas tank to keep it cool.So far the motor is doing good but i haven't put but a few hours on it.

Most of the clone motors with electric starters do have charging systems. They vary from 3 amps to 10 amps, and if no info is given, I'd bet on the lower. The go kart racers look for the ones made by Lifan, but as near as I could tell, that is most of them. I have also heard that the Harbor Freight ones were the ones to avoid. That was before they changed their look/name (predator). So your guess is as good as mine now. They all seem to run VERY lean now to meet emission standards, so plan on a new jet for the carb, or just drill it out.
