    Modified Trail Boss cooling?

Hi, I have a new (2 me) Trail Boss with a 16hp B&S V-twin. Of course, it doesn't have the original cooling tin in place, but the p.o. installed a fan. It's not the biggest fan, and it's blowing over the muffler-out (exhausting). Will this be enough? I'm in a cooler climate (Vermont).

    Thanks,
    J

NO! Don't run it like that The Vanguards get really hot, really quick in a free air situation, let alone buried inside the tub of an amphib. I probably have all the Tins you need. Post a pic of what you have and we will find something that will work!

I have the old tin from the 20hp Kolher. I'll send pics when I can. I was thinking of ducting air in with big enough flex duct. Right to the fan intake.

BTW... would an oil change to a synthetic be a good idea? 10w30 for winter?
