Don't put the gas tank near a fire pit! The fumes could still ignite, even with water in it. Take a look at the pickup inside the tank and clean it out. I had that problem with the tank in my Superchief. I took the strainer off the end and I put a nut on it instead to keep it weighed down at the bottom of the tank. Now after a couple tanks of fresh fuel through it, and a new fuel filter down the line, of course, the fuel system is problem free.

I used a hot water pressure washer with degreaser and dish soap to clean my fibro tank.
Its formed to the upper body so i couldnt take it out.
A garden hose connected to hot water will also work.
If you can take your tank out its easier. For steel tanks ...liners are available like this

Try some purple power degreaser, works fairly well on most things.

Yes, absolutely! Purple Power works GREAT. I use it all the time.....and it's cheap too.

Glad to hear it worked. Do yourself a favor and save future headaches and replace the broken chain with a new one, don't try to repair an old rusty chain with a half link. I've cut corners like that in my past and it never worked out well for me.
