What a difference. That looks amazing! And for some reason the acetone budget always gets blown when you bring an abs machine back from the dead.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Very nice first gen Attex, Randy!
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

    (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

Thanks everybody, never thought something that small could consume that much time. I am getting axles made for it this week, not to hijack the thread, but, are all of the axles drilled the same? I have one that came out whole.

I just pulled the Attex out of storage and I have a dumb question. Can I start the engine on a bench without a battery? I replaced the points (.018), plug and condenser, and I wanted to fire it up prior to install. I checked for spark, and there is none. On the stand next to me is a friends 400 Chief that lights off without a battery. I did not have spark prior to changing parts, the other stuff was really old.

Thanks, that's what I thought. The coil looks original, I will track one down.

I just pulled my Attex out of storage again, ran out of excuses to finish putting it together. The bad news, five out of the six axles are permanently stuck to the sprockets, tried everything, heat, 30 ton press, and nothing moved. Any ideas besides trying to find used ones?
