Max II T20 transmission broke. Any advice on extraction?

The T20 skid steer transmission on my seven year old Max II broke. I'm not surprised, the vehicle has over 1250 hours and the only T20 maintenance I did was to change the oil once.

The last time a T20 broke on me I decided the rest of the vehicle was too worn out to warrant fixing. This time the rest of the ATV is still in good shape so I'm going to make the attempt.

I've done nearly every maintenance task on a Max II except replace the transmission. It looks straight-forward but tedious. Does anyone have any helpful clues or advice?

If you will use the search, there is lots of information on the site that will help you out:

    Removing/Installing the T20
    Rebuilding the T20
    Reassembling the T20 Video
