I was just wondering if the tracks ever hit the argo body ,if you had to do it over would you go with 24'' tires for more clearance between the top of the tracks and the under body of the argo just wondering , getting closer to putting an order in.

deerchaser- in my experience running both steel and uhmw versions, the steel crossers are far less prone to "hopping" when operating on bumpy terrain. I guess that's one advantage of a little extra weight that most people don't think about.

Unless your argo has less tub clearance than normal, you shouldn't have any clearance problems whatsoever. If you don't have enough clearance for escargos (because of a saggy tub/heavy hardtop or just bad argo years...early HDI's)...then you won't have clearance for any track - realistically. If that is the case, on option is to shorten your track and put the smallest tires on the corners and run less air pressure. This will limit the "ballooning" of your tires. Some machines just don't have proper clearance for any track style over 25" tires. It's unfortunate but true. In that case the 24" tires are a great option. 24" are a good option if you want a "ton" of clearance just for safetys sake too. The main difference is that the 22" and 24" tire fit a 10" wide crosser with a 1" tall cleat, while the 25" tires fit a 12" wide crosser with a 1.25" tall vertical steel cleat. So the bigger 12" crosser is just a little bigger in every way...but the 10" crosser works great too. Argo's 25" tires are kinda big, so if you have a questionable tub....look into it otherwise no worries. The 10" crosser is always a great option. I've run both and like them both.

Very little body contact at all with 25" tires. I think twice when traveling at high speed the track kinda slapped the bottom of the tub. I looked really close with a flashlight and can't see any rub or scrape marks at all under the tub of from the track rubbing on the inside and I go on steep side hills, through the brush where I maybe shouldn't go but that's why we buy these things.
