Anybody ever come across one of these?

Saw this in the November 1970 issue of Popular Science. I've read about some conversions but never one from the factory. Has anyone ever seen one?

I've never seen a battery powered AATV but what I'm wondering is how you ran across a 1970 issue of "Popular Science"?????????????????

Now with Li-Po batteries that thing will really scoot and be allot lighter, that would be a treat not having the noise for a change.

But I really like the smell of two stroke in the morning.
