    New Belt!

Thank you all for your help! We got the new belt from dayco and actually got it on. So we are up and running. We need a little chain adjustment but are good to go. The grandkids think its fantastic.

    Hey Ruffles,

Glad to hear you got the belt on. It has been my experience that you will be adjusting those Hustler chains quite often as the chain adjusters are poorly designed. One trick that worked for me on the front 2 chains was to get 2 more of the Teflon rollers and make 2 more chain adjusters exactly like the front ones. You will also need 2 rail nuts, 3/8" bolt and washers. Once you get the original ones snugged down, simply put the newly fabricated ones on top of them and snug them down also. This gives them a lot more resistance to coming loose.

The back chain adjusters seemed to hold a little better. Hope this helps.
    Hammers should have warning labels.
