    20hp vanguard

    Ok guys. Goin to look at a 20 hp vanguard out of a generator with 100 hours on it. Will have to buy a carb to get from lp to gas again,what ya think this is worth??? Or go with a predator??

    You will probably need a crankshaft as that will be tapered.


    My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.

    Well they do make adapters to get you from a tapered shaft up to 1" keyed...

    Crank Shaft Adapter Taper to 1" inch Generator Pressure Washer Engine Bushing | eBay

    hey Mike have any of you done this with a clutch installed??? this adapter will work with a clutch is what I'm asking.

    I've not had to use one, but the whole idea behind them is that they bush the tapered crank up to a 1" keyed shaft, which is what the 780 Comet fits on.

    Ok.Thanks mike,I may get this motor and split from generator and see if this will work. price is right i think!!!

    Ok,it's a 23hp vanduard and it was free of charge so I'm gonna give that adapter Mike shared and see what happens!!!
    I will prolly be bothering some of you guys when it comes to the wiring of this motor also!!

    Dave I have a tapered comet duster I'll put in a box I you pay freight. You will need a spring and pucks but I think
    It's funtcional. Was on a 2 stroke if taper is the same. I run one on my max 2.
