Oil blow back on 84 IC with kol twin series II

update 3
reinstalled the breather tube where it was suppose to go and still had oil gushing out this time on flat ground no incline. drained oil again, it was thin again ( guess i am gona have rip fuel system apart ) Back to the manual i guess .Jim i am going to pull intake manifold off so i should be able to get at that and the fuel pump to check it out.
Did find breather diagram in the service manual there is a plate ,seal,valve and filter in there to check out, but i think i need to find out where i am getting the fuel contamination from first.

update found out local place has inline electric fuel pumps on sale , going to pick one up and replace the stock pump to eliminate one possible source of oil contamination, I suspect diaphragm in the fuel pump is bad , leaking down into block as some had suggested.

The fuel pump can be done with just air cleaner off, try that first.

Jim noticed your post after i edited my last post, that's the job for tomorrow, 2 hour round trip to town to pick up electric fuel pump and by pass the manual one, refill with oil again and see if the oil stays put level wise.

Update 4

Problem seems to be fixed. Just as Jim suggested it seems to have been the fuel pump diaphragm leaking. I replaced the mech pump with a electric fuel pump,drained and replaced oil with new and took it for quick spin and every thing seems good. Will have to do a better run tomorrow but for the problem seems to be fixed. Now with the breather tube connected I will have to figure out how to stop the throttle from sticking.

Hope that cures it, as for the carb post a pic and check both the Kohler and argo manuals for proper springs. It may also be possible to move the cable to the other side of the mount to clear the tube or influence the throttle arm mount.

It's hard to tell in that picture but the screw holding the cable looks to be hitting, perhaps a caring inward bent of the throttle shaft would miss the tube.

I looked at the manual and it only shows the one spring, if you still have problems I have seen and used a very light long spring directly on the screw back to where the throttle cable mounts as a helper. Try the slight bend first if the machine returned to idle correctly with the tube off. Of course look at tube/cable clearance hooked up with air cleaner on to visualize where to persuade it, with mirror if needed.
