I am 36 and was getting in bad shape. When I was out of school I started pulling wrenches on industrial engines and compressors, we worked 2 week pay periods of 120-250 hours. Was a great experience learned a lot and got to see a lot of country. Wish I would have learned to better take care of myself earlier, at the end of a work day could feel my joints tingling, we sprayed gallons of varsol at a time with no mask, lifting heads connecting rods, pistons, and other parts 100-200lbs by myself. For over a year now I do some exersize and work smart instead of what is fastest. I feel good and getting better. Last september I was installing a submersible pump in a tank and when I was trying to reach the ladder that was too short with my feet, had all my weight on my side. As I exhaled to lower the last little bit I felt two ribs brake, was not fun. I was too lazy to get the right ladder and had to learn the lesson again.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one falling apart at the seams. A few months back I was walking the dog and turned too fast when another dog got off it's chain and ran out to fight. Pulled something in my calf and didn't walk right for a couple weeks. I've been off work since late January because my shoulder quit working and had to be reamed & rebushed. Can't wait to see what's next!

    60 next month (60!...sheeesh!)

His reamed and bushed shoulder Scott? I didn't even know you still did that sort of high-end work.
