My dad has a mower with a 26 horse Intek vertical shaft. This is the second engine the mower has had, first one grenaded both connecting rods, but that was more than likely due to not keeping up with maintenance and us being in a dusty climate. We've had the new engine for a couple of years now with zero issues, we're just a little more vigilant when it comes to oil changes and cleaning the air filter now..
