    JLO 295 and JLO 330

Can someone tell me the differences between these 2 engines?? I have the opportunity to purchase either of these for my Attex 297 and don't know if there is a reason to get one over the other??

Are you sure it's not a 340? If it is, it's a little more power and torque than the 297.

JLO made a 340 and a 380 single cylinder as well.

I am running a JLO 395 single in an Attex. I have not been able to find out much about it. It makes nice power, but requires good gas. It shakes bolts loose everywhere!

Groundhog. Is it the JLO 295? I have never heard of a 395 before. I have the same engine in my Attex Wild Wolf. Once tuned or jetted properly, it's not bad for a single 2-stroke, it actually supprised me. Still, thread-lock is your best friend. What Carb are you using? Tillotson or Mikuni?

Yes, it is a L395 Wild Wolf. Wonder if some were put in at the factory? I always thought it was odd that the serial number is 395-001 on the block. What are the numbers on yours? It has a mikuni carb. Can you pull start yours? I am not able to on mine, feels like a 4 cylinder wisconson.

Well, you got me thinking, and I started searching, and wadda-ya-know, an L395 single! I don't know if it was factory or not, my guess would be no, it was added as an upgrade. Mine is a L295, I was going to hunt down some 340 single parts to get more out of it, now I want to go for the 395! Yes, I can pull-start the engine. Maybe yours is not broken-in yet? You should be able to pull-start it. Maybe not easily, but should be do-able. Even larger twins have pull-starts. Mikuni is a good carb, and should run nice once tuned. Do you have a jet kit? One thing about them is you need a Jet kit if you want to get into tuning it.
