    JLO L395 carb question

Working on the machine today, Wild Wolf with a JLO L395 single. The machine had been starting and running ok, but pinging and the pinging got worse when hot. The engine is high compression. Put a half tank of turbo blue leaded in with good oil. The pinging went away but it is running way to rich now. Dropped the pin in the carb, seemed to help but not nearly enough.
Is it possible the turbo blue is much thinner and causes very rich running?

    Talking Yea!

I found the trouble with the machine! The float valve was scored in the sealing area. Was letting fuel leak by. It would seal if you blew into the hose, but was not holding fuel back. I am now sporting a kool-aid smile!
