    how much power should a jlo 252 have

    i got a jlo 252 in a terra tiger and in seams gut less unless u wind it up it runs out of power in the sand what is a good replacement engine for this

    Gutless 252

    It sounds about right to me! Honestly, the 252 is a good running little engine, but at best only puts out about 10 HP and two-stroke horses are a little harder to get any use out of (unless you've got lots and lots of them). The 252 won't do a lot of work for you unless you keep the rpms up, and then you only get what the 247cc can give.

    The TT also came with a 295 JLO engine and that may be more what you're looking for without major changes to the machine. If you decide to go with a 4 stroke engine, I think you'll have to take careful measurements of the engine compartment- if I remember right, the TT is a little cramped in there.

    a little tight in there but i think i can shoe horn a 14 briggs in there i hope lol any body done a swap like this

    Oh yea! I put a Briggs 23 hp in my Tiger. If your budget allows it put the largest engine you can afford. The downside is is the amount of heat the engine dissipates when your sitting right behind it.
