I have 200 hours on a Maxx VI, run it in Colorado at 12,000 feet and up. I am wondering is anyone has a carb suggestion to improve performance and starting, or just buy a new OEM carb to get back to where I was... And if anyone has a great suggestion to swap out for an fuel injected / liquid cooled motor with more HP and torque to it, let's hear it please.
I run an Argo at high altitudes. You need to see what main jet you are running in your carb and change it out for the one that is for the elevation you are running. The second thing you can do is put lighter weights in your clutch to make it so your engine can get up to the higher rpm ranges. Argo has specs for there clutch weights for different altitudes. Good luck.
