Thread: !0 HP yanmar diesel

I have the swamp fox in the shop. I have pulled the engine and transmission out of it. in the process of replacing the chains and bearings. I want to remove the frame and paint it, then raptor line the swamp fox fiberglass. I am tying to figure out how to make the z482 kubota work. I am hung up on a stub shaft. I know exmark mowers makes a stub shaft that will bolt to this flywheel, but I have no idea what the shaft diameter is. I think it could be a 1 1/8" shaft. Do they make salisbury clutches that take a 1 1/8" shaft? I also am curious about the t20 transmission as well. It looks like it has gear oil in it. I think I will either rebuild it or have it rebuilt. I want it to be reliable once installed. I think richards relics rebuilds these, and I might just have them do it.

I am also surprised no one makes a 1" shaft for this little engine. I still find that hard to believe.

Is the problem your shaft is too large OD? It could always be turned down on a Lathe.
