So I got the frame back from the blasters, and they did a terrible job. I spent two hours scraping and wire wheeling to get ready for paint and welding.

    Then I found this.

Yes, that "hair" hanging off those pieces is welding wire, not really weld. I assumed someone added this as extra supports for the chain tensioners for the T-20.
I broke them both off with pliers without much resistance.

    I fixed em.

Fixed some cracks in the frame as well, and also fully welded all joints.
Tomorrow I'll be cutting and fitting all the support material for the portal boxes.

Melted some metal. My favorite next to smashing something with a hammer.

Waiting on more parts to show up.

Got all of the reinforcement done, and got it in primer.
Looks like I will have several back ordered parts.
Tomorrow I'll start on portal boxes.

Cleaned up the powder coating on these channels with a belt sander. Worked great. Didn't melt and just smear it around. Getting ready for welding.

Plates welded on. Mock up bearings and sprockets/hubs. Why didn't I use rectangulare structural tubing you say? Cause I'm cheap, and I had this material laying around and it was perfect for the project.

Here is an idea as to what they look like on the frame.
