    Belt deflection

I have a 1050t with the 29hp Kawasaki motor. It does not seem to have the low end torque that I expected it to have. It has the heavier clutch spring in it.I have two belts for it and they both have just over 2" of deflection. What should I have ?

I’m assuming you have Comet clutches? I would start with a new belt then shim the engine table up as tight as you can get away with without it shifting hard. Even the slightest wear can change your gear ratio.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.
