Conquest fd620 smoking at idle & high speed idle rpm

Hey guys my conquest smokes pretty heavily once it’s idled for a couple minutes. When you take off it is chugs for a minute. Then it runs fine, no smoke. I have cleaned the carb out. Did a leak test which showed good. Any ideas where I should start?

Unrelated but another question I was hoping you guys could help out with, at WOT I’m around 2700rpm... is that typical or should it be adjusted higher?

    Thanks

Could be float level needs adjustment, it may be to high or the needle/seat is bad.
You should be at 3600 WOT no load.

Okay, I checked my float level and float needle last night, both checked out good. Checked the # stamped on the jets, they are the standard jet #'s listed in the manual. One thing I noticed is the tip of the pilot screw may be slightly worn... would this cause smoking at idle / no smoke when driving?
