Wanted: RC50-2 Roller Chain for Argo Magnum

Looking for some new chains for my old Argo, parts places around my area of Canada are backed up until late August so I figured I would give here a shot. The chain I'm looking for is 50-2 Roller chain, its the double chain all the way around for these magnums. Mine is starting to rub on the plastic that surrounds the frame. I figure I need about 40 feet. If someone has some who is willing to send it to New Brunswick (or knows of a spot that will ship here and has some reasonably priced chain in stock) let me know!

Thanks for the offer johnboy! If I didn't end up getting very lucky, I would probably have taken you up on that. I managed to find some old stock (but new in box) diamond 50-2 chain from an industrial sell off spot in Ontairo. I bought all 4 boxes they had for about $300 Canadian. We'll see what it looks like when it gets here, if it turns out to be no good I may still take you up on that!

Yikes, that's a rough bit of bad luck John! I bet that tree is pretty pleased with itself though. I wish you a speedy recovery! Maybe this would be a good time to work on a suspension seat set up, to help with the bumpy ride on sore ribs

On another note, I received my chain yesterday and it turns out that "new old stock" chain is indeed a thing! It is Diamond brand chain, but I bet those boxes are from the 80's, mayybbee early 90's at the earliest. One box is much older than the others and all the factory grease has turned to varnish and will need to be stripped off. Otherwise though, they appear to be in fine shape and I've already got a few of them on. Overall, couldn't be happier. $200 CAD plus tax for 40 feet of 50-2 diamond chain and 10 extra master links was a steal, its even period correct for my '88 magnum

Thanks again for the offer to order up some chain for me John, if I hadn't lucked into this transaction I would have taken you up on your offer for sure. Really nice to have that kind of support on this site
