    1969/70 AMF sur-trek For Sale

    Price REDUCED
I am selling an AMF Sur Trek. This is an amphibious 8 wheeled ATV. There were only a couple hundred of these units made in the late 1960s. This unit was/is being rebuilt but due to other life circumstances I am selling this unit. I have all brand new bearings installed, rebuilt transmission, installed a new 4 stroke Vanguard motor, 8 new tires and rims, all new sprockets, and more.
I am selling this unit for $3100. Not only is this a unique ATV but with the price of all the new parts we have over 4500 in NEW components. The motor, clutch and tires alone were $3000, plus all the other replacement parts. All you would need to do is finish the project. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I am sad we will have to let this piece of our family go. Located west of HOUSTON, TX.

Lost when moving are the windshield and engine cover, however the engine cover would not fit with new motor.

Hi, good luck with sale. I have two sur treks....did u use the stock clutches with the new 4 stroke engine? Where did u get chains and sprockets?

Sorry for the late response, i didnt get a notification of your post. I replaced the clutch on the motor with a Comet 790. It matches with the one on the transmission. I have the original chains and i planned to just replace that with normal motorcycle chain cut to lengths. The sprockets were purchased from a motorcycle shop. The center holes need to be enlarged but all the sprockets were exact sizes to originals. Since i am selling the unit i havent been putting any time into it. I have a few people interested currently. We will see where it goes.
