    Bye, bye Max II....

After nearly 10 years of fighting my Max II, it is sold and I am now the happy owner of an Argo six-wheel. The comparison is night and day. My Max was only used for light duty, mostly to haul my ice fishing gear. It was used sparingly during the non-snow season around my property. I used it sparingly because it seems every few uses I had to fix, adjust or replace something. And I did not abuse it at all. It was fine for snow with the tracks, but the constant maintenance and the difficulty to maintain it was the final straw. I had no confidence to take it on an outing of more than a mile or two for fear of breakdown. I will not miss it.

Mjbuck sorry to hear of so many issues with your Max although i only owned one a Max iv and have owned the Argo brand since 1976 ish i found quality's about my Max that my argos lack and vice versa the transmission for example the T 20 is a very early skid steer tranny but works very well i still own a Attex with one in it the planetary style in the argo robust but the t 20 with its positive 6 wheel drive no comparison jmo the new admiral that is offered in the argo line a huge step forward the other thing for my purposes was in water the max much more level when crossing lakes the argo always nose heavy just the nature of the beast all that said the argo has been refined over the years with a damn near bulletproof driveline iam sure you will be happy.Cheers
