    You guys end up having any luck on this belt? I'm dealing with a 980 with stock 18 Briggs too.

    Call Buffalo Bearing and tell them that Jeff (the guy with all the 6 wheelers sent you). They can sell you the correct belt. Just tell them it is the same one that they ordered for Jeff for his Hustler and you'll be all set. They're good folks to deal with. Here is their number:

    Glad to help. Since I don't recall the part number off hand, just have the guys at Buffalo Bearing cross reference Goodyear 1930V491 or Salsbury 704084 and you should be all set.

    I sell belts in New Zealand-Dayco,Gates & Goodyear all make varable speed belts for your machine-most Argos use a Goodyear belt 71162.If you give me the dimensions ie top width x depth x outside circumference i will confirm it.

    Hey newbie here. I have a Hustler 980 Bigfoot with the original 18hp. My belt is a Salsbury ill get the # for you in the morning if it is what you need.

    Hydromike found out the Dayco part number......it is HP2031 and it fits perfectly.
